Higher estimated road traffic mortality; lower estimated road traffic mortality.

Methodology & source

Values are World Bank World Development Indicators SH.STA.TRAF.P5: WHO estimated mortality caused by road traffic injury per 100,000 people. This is the published WHO/WDI death-rate series, not a composite road-safety index. Countries without complete vital registration are estimated by WHO. Country rows are joined by ISO 3166-1 alpha-3; regional and income aggregates are excluded. Map ranks are comparable-sample competition ranks among currently loaded countries (rank 1 is the highest death rate). Missing countries remain without a value.
