Health indicators
Health statistics, mapped by country
Health indicators describe how long people live, how births and deaths are patterned, and which risk factors public sources currently measure. They are not a composite health-system score.
Demographic structure is visible here through fertility, longevity, and survival — not through a separate population-count layer. Where a source models an estimate, the layer says so.
What you can compare
Life expectancy at birth, total fertility rate, under-five mortality, maternal mortality, adult obesity prevalence, and recorded alcohol consumption per adult.
How to read survival and risk
Lower mortality is better. Higher life expectancy is better. Fertility is a rate, not a verdict. Obesity and alcohol are risk-factor series with their own definitions, age ranges, and reporting years.
Indicators in this theme
Each indicator keeps its own source, period, and method. Open a layer for the definition, then a country for the value.

Adult Obesity Rate
Age-standardized share of adults aged 18 and older with obesity (BMI ≥ 30), both sexes. This is a WHO official modelled estimate, not a census of obese adults and not a ranking of how healthy countries are.
